Unglazed wood fired bowl or tumbler

A bowl or tumbler, wide enough to eat or serve food, yet deep enough to drink from, this has a rounded base and fits in the hand very comfortably.

Thrown in a coarse clay, then faceted on the outside with a knife.

Fired upside down unglazed, there is a build up of ash on the side facing the flames, then each side of that and on the bottom there is a glossier finish to the clay, with a matt finish at the back where it was more sheltered in the kiln. The rim has 3 grey marks where the pot was supported in the kiln.

Ideal for eating from or serving, for drinking from or as a small plant pot.
