Potclays Original Red S/E
Pics from March 2020 firing – cone 10 down at front, softening at back. Slow cooled in reduction. Little ash in this area. Clay took on a purplish tint.

A plastic blend of various carefully graded red clays with fireclay producing outstanding tolerance and physical properties. Excellent for general purpose use. A good domestic earthenware body which throws and turns well, has a wide firing range and unusually good thermal shock resistance.
Applications: General purpose / throwing / hand building / general domestic / slipware.
Texture: 1 (1 smoothest, 10 most coarse)
