Collecting Wood

Collecting wood for the One Tree project. Most will be burned to make ash for glazes, though some will be incorporated into handles or used as bases for pieces.

All the wood comes from a single tree - is this the ultimate measure of authenticity for those into wood ash glazes, one up from using ash from a single species of tree?

The wood was in the car overnight as I waited for the rain to stop before unloading - when I opened the car it reminded me how each species of tree has its own specific scent.
