Calculating Glaze Properties

Here we look at a number of tools that try and calculate/predict the properties of glazes and glasses.

The Materials Project

A web site for various materials calculations, e.g. visualising chemical structures, reaction calculator, phase diagrams etc.

Glass Properties

This site contains calculators for many glass properties, and a number of properties databases.
It looks like it is a (retirement?) project from an ex glass engineer at Alfred University.

Sciglass

Sciglass is a well known piece of software for these calculations, though it has recently changed owners to Epam.

Some of the code has been put up in Github, though it requires Access 2.0!

Glass Engineer System

A Chinese software package. According to the web site, last update was in 2010, and the site is not finished, so not sure of the current status.
