Books

For a while I've intended to put some of my posts and course content into book format, and now I've organised my time to make this happen.

You may be interested to know that in my previous career in the marine industry, I wrote 4 books - two on yacht design and two on yacht computer systems, as well as many magazine articles and a number of academic papers. Those books went down the traditional publishing route, but this time I'm going down the self-publishing route, which I think is viable for a niche sector such as how to do studio ceramics.

Initially I'm working on a book on electric kilns and firing. For my Patreon supporters, they will be able to access a regularly updated drop of the book as it progresses as a downloadable PDF, and it'd be great to get feedback as it develops.

I'm also helping write a book on Zinc glazes with another potter, which will probably follow a similar course, but not for a little while.
